Things to Bring

WEATHER
In September, the average high is a warm 76.2°F and
the average low is a chilly 43.5°F. Early in the month, however, it
can become quite hot during the middle of the day (the recorded high
is 103°F) so you should be prepared for the usual wide range in
temperatures in a typical day in Northern California.
To help keep you comfortable, here's a list of
things you might like to bring:
CLOTHING
T-shirts
Warm, long-sleeve layer (nights are high 40's)
Long, comfortable pants
Shorts
Swimsuit
Flip-flops or sandals for around camp
Hiking shoes or sneakers
Windbreaker or light jacket
Light scarf and hat
Warm pajamas (bed sheets and pillows are provided)
Nice clothes for the tea ceremony (non-hiking gear)
MISC
Personal toiletries
Towel for swimming (bath towels are provided)
Sunscreen
Sunglasses
Ear plugs
Small flashlight
Water bottle
Motion sickness aids for the paved, but curvy road to the cabins (we recommend these)
FUN STUFF
Camera and film
Favorite CD's (please label cases with your name)
Binoculars/Telescope (the moon will be bright and you may see mars)
GPS receiver
Playing cards or other games
People magazine or trashy novel
Pup tent & sleeping bag (some folks may choose to camp under the stars)
